That’s why there’s WorldTowning – a slow-traveling way of life for the curious and adventuresome, for lovers of the world, for those who desire to experience life to the fullest.

The vision
WorldTowning is building a community of global citizens who are living the world one hometown at a time. These WorldTowners are taking up temporary residence (for 3, 6 and 12 months) in foreign places to experience day-to-day life as locals. What drives this is a desire to expand their view of the world, enhance their knowledge of a region and establish lasting community ties – anywhere around the globe.
The community
At WorldTowning, you will find a tribe of people committed to family, travel, adventure, education and life beyond the status quo. You will gain insight into the daily lives of WorldTowners, get a front-row seat to WorldTowning adventures, experience authentic family and community life, learn about our world and the beauty it holds, and gain the tools and encouragement you need to become a WorldTowner yourself.

How can we say that confidently? Because we’ve done it – 3 times. We had so many questions when we embraced this lifestyle over 3 years ago, and, we’ll admit, there was quite a learning curve. That’s why we’ve created WorldTowning. We know where you should start, what steps need to be taken, what needs to be discussed, how to determine schooling for your children, how to figure out finances – and more.
There were times we wished someone could come alongside us, someone who had gone before us, someone who could help answer our questions.
